Alright, here it is ladies! Our official blog! I'm going to start with a general information kind of post. I sent invitations for everyone to be authors on the blog, so we can all post, in addition to commenting on the posts.
As we discussed at Girls' Night yesterday, we want this to be a central place where we can keep up to date on all Girls' Night related things, share stories, recipes, and whatever else we care to share. Also a place we can exchange ideas on upcoming Girls' Nights and we can maybe even coordinate what, where, when, and who on here instead of using Evite.
I have this set up to be "private", so search engines on the internet will not crawl the site. However, the blog still is on the very public internet, so if someone types in the exact address or gets a link to it somewhere, they will be able to see it. I can alter this setting and make it only viewable to people we invite, or only viewable to the authors. Then it requires you to log in before you view it so only "authorized" people can see what we post. I think if we want to use this as a place to coordinate Girls' Nights and such, then we probably should make it as private as possible. But, if we want to keep using Evite for that, and use this blog for other stuff, then leaving it as-is is probably fine. Post a comment and let me know your thoughts on this!
To get things rolling, here are some topics of discussion that we could be blogging about in the next couple weeks:
-The next Girls' Night for August (Janice - I think this one is up to you)
-Someone mentioned a recipe I really wanted last night. I can't remember who or what it was though! Wow, and I didn't even drink that much! I think maybe it was Karrie??? Oh, yep, that was it - red beans and rice - blog away girl!
-Scrapbooking (Susan or me or Sarah???)
-books, movies, music, entertainment stuff??? I actually have a good one I can blog about - my newfound obsession over the Twilight Saga - a series of young adult books with the fourth and final installment coming out August 2.
-stories, news, info, etc.
-humor (we need a resident funny girl or two. I like to think I'm funny but I know I'm really not. I will laugh harder than anyone though and at almost anything, so I need a few funny people around to keep me laughing!)
That's about all I can think of right now. I hope everyone enjoys the blog and that it makes keeping in touch with you all easier! Don't forget to comment on what to do with the privacy settings. And of course, let me know if you have any questions or anything!

I forgot to leave my "vote" on here yesterday. I'm fine with this blog being either accessed only by user/password or not, but my preference would be to use the blog for details about our get-togethers. I actually got a virus about 6 months ago from and Evite that wreaked havoc on my computer & I've been a little nervous using it since. But, as I said, I'm good with whatever is decided!
